WORLD DAY FOR THE DISABLED CELEBRATED AT JIMARS (VIKLANG KENDRA) 03-11-2014

On Dec 3rd the World day for the disabled was celebrated with much fun ands frolic for all the specially challenged children who came- from Umang centre  of JIMARS (VIKLANG KENDRA) and a large number of beneficiaries from various places  in Allahabad and the rural areas.and Hon"ble  JUSTICE SURENDRA SINGH, of Allahabad High Court blesses the Specially Challenged

On the 2nd December itself painting competition took place 36 specially challenged children participated. The judges who assesses were Ms. Rai and Ms Nailini Goel. The winners were: Harsh, Arthav, Saumya, Manisha Singh, Mayank Agarwal, Anjana, Gulzano, Amit Keshawrwani, Vidharb

The event was followed by several sports event- crawling race, three legged race, spoon race, wheel chair race, - The winners of the event were: Vabhav, Harsh, Adarrsh Mishra, Mayank, Anjana, Rajani, Vidharb, Vijay.

It was indeed a fun and frolic day for the specially challenged children On the 3rd of December – the specially challenged children were blessed by Hon’ble Justice Surendra Singh. Who blessed the specially challenged children and praised persons Other professionals of JIMARS (Viklang Kendra) for there efforts .and was highly impressed by the cultural function by the specially challenged children.

The Principal Teaching Centre Smt. Bose and Principal Umang Centre Mr.  Pande of JIMARS, organized the event.

Dr. Bhasker Banerji, (Orthopaedic Surgeon) Hon. Secretary  welcomed the Chief Guest and talked about the efforts to reduce the incidence of Disability by Good maternal and Child care and , immunization., improving traffic control .and integrating the specially challenged children  in the mainstream.

Hon’ble Justice Yatindra Singh, Chief Justice of Chattisgarh High Court,
(Retd.) flags off a Picnic day for the Specially Challenged Children at JIMARS
( Viklang Kendra) 14Nov,2014

On the occasion of Children’s day Hon’ble Justice Yatindra Singh, Chief
Justice of Chattisgarh (Retd.) flagged off a picnic and fun day for the
specially challenged Children of JIMARS.



Addressing the children, their guardians, Volunteers, Special Education
teachers, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech












 






Therapists, Nursing and paramedical team
and doctors – he lauded there efforts at special education and rehabilitation
of these children and integrating them in the mainstream of Society.

This effort deserves all encouragement and also the fact that teaching and
training of all cadres of personnel involved in care and rehabilitation of the
specially challenged ,is also now an integral part of the institution so that
these services can spread far and wide is laudable.

He praised the dedication of the teams and volunteers involved and
hoped that current scientific progress should be used for the improvement of
their lives of these marginalized and not so lucky children.

The Reconstructive surgery facilities which form an Integral part of
Rehabilitation , is also effectively being carried out –leading to complete
comprehernsive care under One roof.- for the Specially Challenged

He hoped that the government , philanthropists, funding institutions
would come forward to make it a National Institute of Physical Medicine and
Rehabilitation.

He praised the efforts of all  and
the leadership of Drs Bhasker (Hon. Secretray,Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon)
and Dr.Neera Banerji( Hon. Project Director ,,Academic Coordinator and Ophthalmologist)

With these few words he flagged of the picnic and fun day of these
children.
